Climate Champions
At the heart of our mission are our Climate Champions, who are the driving force of resilience in their own communities. They are the vital link between project goals and grassroots action, ensuring solutions are trusted, adopted, and owned by the people they are designed to serve.
Currently, 304 active Climate Champions are engaged across project landscapes, 98% of whom are women, serving as local leaders, mobilizers, and advocates for climate action.
They are instrumental in mobilizing collective action, inspiring behavioral change, and ensuring the successful adoption of project activities. By working closely with women-led SHGs, Eco-Development Committees (EDCs), Vana Suraksha Samiti (VSS), Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), and local schools, they effectively translate complex climate knowledge into practical solutions that communities can implement.
